David Peterson

David Peterson is the Head of Asset Management of Ray White Commercial QLD, having started his career working in the Property Management team for the Landlord and Owner of the Brisbane Markets. At the time, Brisbane Markets was a 77-hectare site comprising of over 35 buildings with 250 leases across multiple asset types (multi-tenant warehouses, sole occupancy warehouses, commercial offices and retail) of which David provided lease administration, transaction management and stakeholder relationship management.

After 4 ½ years of services to the Brisbane Markets, David spent 2 years working in JLL Asia Pacific’s Integrated Facilities Management team as National Property Manager. He was accountable for the Suncorp Group’s national real estate portfolio encompassing 700+ sites comprising of retail, commercial, industrial and residential assets. Key brands managed included Suncorp Bank, APIA, AAMI, GIO, Vero and Shannons to name a few.

Following the expiry of the management services agreement to JLL, David kicked off his 7 year career with First Asset Management as a Senior Commercial Asset Manager. In 2018, David secured an opportunity to become a non-equity Partner and assisted in the growth and development of company processes and procedures to see the company grow to over $1.3 billion in assets under management. In addition, he managed a diverse portfolio of high-quality commercial, medical and retail assets in South East Queensland for high-net worth individuals and property trusts.

David is passionate about providing a framework within which market-leading asset management specialists can thrive and provide a hands on and value driven results, throughout the full asset life-cycle for clients.
